How do I use my Snookums Microwave Steam Steriliser?
Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide for first-time setup and daily use.
(Refer to the instruction leaflet inside for detailed diagrams and safety notes.)
- Remove any food or milk residue with hot, soapy water before placing it in the steam steriliser.
- Add water:
– Unlock the lid and remove the rack from the unit, before filling with 200ml of cold tap water. This amount should fill the base of the unit. Fill with the recommended amount of water only. - Load bottles:
– Place the rack back into the unit and proceed to load.
– Load bottles in an upside-down position and add accessories such as silicone teats, discs, and bottle caps. Use the specially shaped holes in the rack to position the bottles and their various parts.
- Close the lid and ensure the latch is properly secured, and place the unit in the microwave.
- To avoid steam or hot water burns, please adhere to the cooling time, as the contents will be extremely hot!

Do’s and Dont’s
- Do not use chemical sterilising solutions/tablets in the microwave.
- Always add 200ml of water before use. Ensure the unit does not boil dry. Ensure the microwave timer is set correctly on full power. Always allow at least 5 minutes of cooling time before removing from the microwave. It is recommended that oven gloves be used to prevent scalding. When removing the steriliser from the microwave, ensure the steriliser is kept level at all times. Take care, as it will contain hot water and steam.
- Place on a hard, flat heat resistant kitchen surface. Always open the lid away from you to allow the steam to escape. Do not use chemical sterilising solutions/tablets in the microwave. If you have a combination oven, ensure grill is switched off and the oven has cooled before use.
- Do not use with metallic items, as this will damage your microwave.
- Keep out of reach of small children. Make sure that the microwave turntable is clean and dry before use.
